Responsible Gambling

Last updated: April 8, 2026

Our Commitment

OddsGuy is committed to promoting responsible gambling. Sports betting should be fun and entertaining — never a source of financial stress. If betting stops being enjoyable, it's time to step back.

Guidelines for Responsible Betting

  • Set a budget. Only bet what you can afford to lose. Never chase losses.
  • Set time limits. Don't let betting consume your day. Take breaks.
  • Don't bet under the influence. Alcohol and other substances impair judgment.
  • Don't bet to recover losses. Chasing losses leads to bigger losses.
  • Keep it fun. If you're feeling stressed, anxious, or frustrated, stop betting.
  • Know the odds. The house always has an edge. Understand the risks.
  • Don't borrow to bet. Never use money you need for bills, rent, or other obligations.
  • Balance betting with other activities. It should be one part of your entertainment, not all of it.

Warning Signs

You may have a gambling problem if you:

  • Bet more than you can afford to lose
  • Borrow money or sell possessions to fund betting
  • Feel restless or irritable when trying to stop betting
  • Chase losses by increasing bet sizes
  • Lie to family or friends about your betting
  • Neglect work, relationships, or responsibilities because of betting
  • Feel unable to stop even when you want to
